Overview

xen-SE Plus provides a comprehensive IP management solution for small/medium enterprises.  

Xensis' background is in mainstream corporate IP management software.  All our other products are built using 'corporate strength' technology.  Significant investment both in infrastructure, software and training has normally been required, albeit that Xensis software is very cost effective.  Until now there hasn't been a lightweight, simple to understand and use product, especially one that is so competitively priced.

xen-SE Plus is aimed at users who up until now have used home grown solutions or generic office products such as Excel to manage their IP.  It is also aimed at those who need a product for the first time.  Using the vast experience gained from developing and supporting it's corporate product range, Xensis have applied this knowledge to develop this simple IP management tool.  The software does have its limitations - it should only be used for workgroups up to 5 users, for LAN access only, and for managing up to a thousand records.

Services

Support is provided via email, and this covers both the evaluation and unlimited record licenced versions.  Periodically free bug fix versions will be available via this website - registered users will be informed when new versions become available.  No annual maintenance fee is required.  Any future upgrade releases which include significant developments will be available for purchase at a reduced cost.

Within xen-SE Plus, key records and processes include the following.  Features only available in xen-SE Plus (not xen-SE) are highlighted:

• Stores data for inventions, proposals, etc. prior to filing (xen-SE Plus only)
• Dockets/Application records such as Priority Applications, New substantive applications, Derivative applications

• Commitments/Agreements with third parties
• Stores data for proceedings, such as oppositions (xen-SE Plus only)
• Stores data for general file records, such as searches (xen-SE Plus only)
• Task generation (from customizable profiles) for all the main record types
• Alert generation to warn of critical data situations (about to miss a deadline!) for all the main record types
• Patent/Trade Mark Office information
• Country dependent task lists (from customizable Task Profiles)
• Record status recording
• Legal Document and Correspondence mail merge file generation with built-in Address Book facilities
• Payments management (xen-SE Plus contains additional fields)
• Links documents stored on a PC or network
• Customizable report generation with print preview (xen-SE Plus contains additional features)
• Simple import/export of data to and from other Windows applications using copy/paste
• Many extra "spare" fields available to add new data fields as required (xen-SE Plus contains spares for most record types, limited to Applications/Commitments in xen-SE)

The above image shows the broad extent of the functionality, which in the main can be driven from the toolbar. All system feature are available via the menus.

Data is entered using a datasheet view. The view can be toggled between multi-record and single record view. 

This shows the different views of the data - from the previous multi-record to a single record.  You can create your own views to show whatever data fields you want.
