Please note that the xen-SE range is built to different technologies and so a data migration must be performed if you wish to upgrade from the xen-SE range to a product from the xen-IP range. Contact Xensis for more details.
All of the xen-IP range of products are built to a common architecture and are fully compatible with each other. This allows complete flexibility to upgrade products whilst maintaining the same database structure. As user numbers grow, clients can purchase additional licences. If clients initially start out with a small scale database technology, when the volume of data/users dictates, clients can seamlessly move up to the next level database technology.
Assuming the client has annual support they can simply purchase an upgrade rather than have to repurchase the whole product. The upgrade cost is the difference between the cost of the original licence and the new licence. Annual support costs increase pro-rata.
