Configuration & Customisation
This can be broken down into two parts
- Configuration - the ability to set parameters within the system to tailor it to match your
requirements
-
Customisation - changing the functionality of the system through further development/enhancement to better
match your requirements
Configuration
All Xensis products have the same level of configuration options. All of the following can be
configured:
-

-

- new user
roles and security allowing new types of user to be created and granted any type of access to various types of
data
- specification of own tasks that are generated at key stages within the lifecycle
- definition of
any document type and mail merge from the database
- toolbar/status bar on/off
- document
compression/encryption within the document store
-
location of the document store

... etc etc
In addition there are dozens of database parameters which can be set to configure the system.
Customisation
Xensis do not customise any of their software nor do they release source code so that customers can do it
themselves. Xensis sell a range of products with varying functionality and price to suit customers needs.
Xensis have and will continue to develop their products to match user requirements and where possible these
developments will be funded out of annual support costs.
Customers who pay to have vendors build
functionality specifically for them usually have to pay multiple times over when the vendor moves the 'base
product' on to the next version - or alternatively the customer is forced financially to stay on old versions of
the software which eventually are unsupportable.
Our philosophy is to work with all customers to develop the core products to be as function rich and as
flexible as possible.
